This is my pattern for Lowly Worm. I noticed that other patterns I found on the internet were very large, so I made one that was small, as most worms are. You can make this into a pencil/pen cover or a toy.

You can use whatever yarns you like, I just listed the ones I used. I prioritized color accuracy over other qualities when picking my yarns.

Here is the exact list of yarns and colors I used:

Head: “I love this yarn - toasted almond”
Shirt: “Crafter’s secret cotton - turquoise”
Pants & Hat: “Bernat Handicrafter cotton DeLux - Olive”
Shoes & Bowtie: “Lily sugar ‘n cream - red”
Hat band: “Lily sugar ‘n cream - bamboo”
Hat detail: “Lily sugar ‘n cream - Jute”
White details: “I love this yarn - white”
Black details: “Lily sugar ‘n cream - Black”

You don’t need very much of any of these colors, so I would call this a good project for using up scraps.

You could optionally place pipe cleaners in the body for pose-ability as a toy.

The finished piece will be 7.5 inches.
