LP Hat — the perfect balance of comfort and style.
Aran cables give it a classic textured look, the cozy folded brim keeps you warm, and the slightly slouchy crown adds a modern twist.
This hat will be your trusted companion, whether you’re out on a frosty walk or making a stylish statement in your winter outfit. Knit with the luxurious Malabrigo Rios, it’s not only warm but also incredibly soft to the touch.

Sizes: M- the approximmately equivalent junior/woman, (L - woman (man))
Measurements: 53 – 56 cm (57-60) cm (21 – 22 inches (22,5 – 23,7 inches))
Gauge:
24 st x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches
Please note: the gauge is given after washing and drying the piece, measured in the cable section (in an unstretched state). For this hat, it’s important to match the gauge to achieve the correct size. Any deviation from the gauge may affect final result!!!
Yarn:

  • 100 g Malabrigo Rios (100 g = 192 m 210 yds) – 1 skein or
  • 100 g Estelle Worsted (100 g = 200 m 210 yds) – 1 skein or
  • 100 g Cascade 220 Heathers (100 g = 200 m 220 yds) – 1 skein or any worsted or aran weight yarn that matches the specified gauge.

LP Hat is knitted bottom-up with 4 mm US6 circular needles (40 cm) for the 2 x 2 ribbing and 5 mm needles for the main part of the hat with a single strand of yarn. The crown is worked using either double-pointed needles or longer circular needles with the magic loop technique. The brim is not fixed, allowing you to adjust the fold to your preference—make it larger or smaller as you like!

Before starting, be sure to knit a swatch to determine your gauge, and adjust your needle size if needed. My knitting style is tighter, so if you knit more loosely, use that are 0.25–0.5 mm smaller.
