Luca Vest

Inspired by the animated film Luca, this vest captures the beautiful transformation from sea monster to human. Designed with a focus on refined color work and texture, it’s a simple yet striking piece for exploring your world.

The Luca vest is a soft and lose fit vest. It is worked from the top down making it easy to customize the length to suit your
preference.
This pattern is knit with one strand of sport weight, 2-ply pure wool while doing color work with slip stitch.

The vest is first worked flat from the neckline down. Beginning the neckline of the back panel while knitting sleeve hem at the same time.
The vest is knit with increase on each side to create shaping for underarm. Stitches are picked up along the shoulder line rows
to create front panel with the crew neck. The front and back panel are joined at the bottom of the sleeve hem then knit in the round to finish the body. Bottom is knitted with rib stitch.

Sizes: XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL to be worn with 10cm positive ease. shown in size M.

Gauge: 23 STs = 10 cm (Stockinette Stitch), 26 STs x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm (Slip Stitch) on US 6: 4.0 mm needle

Needle Sizes: US 6: 4.0 mm (body), US 4: 3.5 mm (Arm hole, Crew neck, Body hem)

Notions: Tapestry needle, 20 stitch markers, scrap yarn or stich holders
