Lucia Snöflinga (Lucia Snowflake)

Lucia is a part of the Swedish Christmas tradition. On the 13th of Decemeber it’s celebrated as a light tribute and has been named after the Italian saint Lucia. As a part of the celebration we eat lussekatter, a wheat bun flavored with saffron shaped as the letter s.

Size
The mittens is knitted in the round with magic loop, in stockinette stitch to fit a womans hand, 20 cm in circumference. For a smaller size, use smaller needles and vice versa.

Needles
Circular needles 3 mm, 80 cm or the size needed for gauge 28 st/10 cm after blocking.

Yarn
Two colours, approx. 35 g sport weigth yarn (150-175 m/50 g) of each colour = 70 g in total.
Such as, Rauma finullgarn, Kampes 2-trådiga ullgarn, Visjögarn from Östergötlands Ullspinneri or Magasin Duett Supersoft (held double).
