This hat is worked in worsted weight yarn. Make sure you have a moderately tight fabric. (Band instructions are buttons, not flowers, but you can find flower patterns elsewhere)

Difficulty Rating: Intermediate

Materials:
300 yards worsted weight yarn
Crochet hook needed to make a moderately tight fabric (G, 7, or H)
1 split ring marker
Tapestry Needle
Buttons, ribbon, torn fabric, or other band decorations

Abbreviations and Definitions:
Magic Circle: wrap yarn around your fingers three times (with yarn ball end toward your palm). Insert hook from tip toward palm and pull up the last strand of yarn as a loop. Wrap yarn over hook and pull through. Now you are ready to crochet.
sc: single crochet
St: stitch
Inc: Increase (2 single crochets in the same stitch)
HDC: half double crochet
Sl st: slip stitch
