This hat was inspired by the remains of a half-skein kit meant for the 14 color slouch that was distributed with the debut of Woolstok Light. My goal was to create something completely different with these lovely leftovers.

13 colors of 12.5g /55 yard balls of Woolstok Light are laid from darkest grey to natural, then light blue to red in this order:
#1Cast Iron, #2 Storm Cloud, #3 Grey Harbor, #4 Highland Fleece, #5 Spring Ice, #6 October Sky, #7 Midnight Sea, #8 Wild Thyme, #9 Earth Ivy, #10 Golden Meadow, #11 Spun Gold #12 Rusted Roof,
#13 Red Rock

The yarns are knit held double, first as a solid, then mingled with the next number in a gradient of knit 4, purl 4 rib that ends with a very short top shaping. The hat fits in a variety of ways; turned brim, scrunched down, long slouch…

Gauge - 20 stitches and 30 rounds = 4”/10cm, in rib pattern, smoothed.
Needles - Sample was knit with US7/4.5mm 32”/81cm circulars, using the magic loop method.
Dimensions - Super Slouchy and Stretchy
20”/ 51cm around x 13“/33cm deep.
