Recommended materials and tools
1. Plush chunky yarn 100g/120m (#5 Bulky). I used:
Himalaya Dolphin Baby
• #80331 (green, 85-90 g);
• #80350 (lime green, 25-30 g);
• #80337 (brown, 35 g);
• #80353 (skin, 50-55 g);
• #80351 (black, 40 g);
• #80313 (yellow, a little for embroidery).
LadyYarn Baby soft kiss
• #C500B (ginger, 60 g).
- Cotton or semicotton yarn (50g/160m) body color for tightening, black color for embroidery, green color to crochet the shamrocks. I use YarnArt Jeans #73 (skin), #53 (black), #69 (green).
- Yarn with lurex for example YarnArt Bright #236 (gold) 90g/340m to crochet gold part of the pot of gold.
- 4.0 mm crochet hook (US size G/6) (main).
- 1.75 mm crochet hook (US size #0) to crochet the shamrocks.
- Filling (hollofiber or fiberfill for stuffing).
- 16 mm safety eyes.
- Thin wire, 70 cm (~28 inches) to strengthen the neck.
- Band-aid.
- Dry pastel pink or peach color and brush for make up for toning cheeks and nose.
- Two ginger buttons 9-12 mm for decorating.
- Yarn needle, pins, stitch marker and scissors.
