This cowl is knit in the round with a slipped stitch pattern and a mini-skein set. It is a very long tube cowl that is worn bunched up around the neck, so even though it is knit with fingering weight yarn, it is very snuggly and warm.

You can knit this cowl with less colors, if you have a 5 skein mini set, it would work great with this pattern as well, just omit last color (C6). The finished cowl would measure about 18.25” tall.

It is a good idea to weigh your yarn before you start, if you want to get the most out of your set. The pattern will be written out with how many rounds I knit in each section, but you can knit more or less rounds depending on your yarn weight.

Yarn: 6 skein 20g mini set (Sample uses Brine Dyeworks ‘Lucky Penny 2.0’.) Can use a 5 skein mini set, finished cowl will be shorter.
