“You are my lucky star
I saw you from afar…”

One of my very favorite movies is “Singin’ in the Rain.”  I start the day singing “Good Morning, Good Mooooorning!” Sweet little rain showers are greeted with song. I occasionally suppose my toeses are roses, but then I suppose erroneously.

This past winter, I began playing with a skein of Cascade Casablanca, a worsted self-striping yarn.  At TNNA in January 2013, I learned a formula for knitting a sweater in the round, and thought it would be a fun way to use all those stripes. As I spent an evening knitting around and around, I started wondering what else I could do to make this piece more interesting. With a simple series of decreases and increases, a star began to form and I fell in love.

The song began to make its way through my head shortly thereafter.“

The different sizes show the points where the number of skeins change. If your size falls in between two of the sizes shown, pick the number of skeins from the size below. For example, if your bust measurement is 48”, you would need 7 skeins of Cascade Casablanca.

Knit on!
