Lucy Cardigan
This cardigan is worked from the bottom up, with the button bands knitted at the same time as the body and finished with a narrow shawl collar. It features short rows at the back of the neck, and the front pieces are longer than the back, allowing the cardigan to drape beautifully over the shoulders. This construction means the cardigan is designed to be worn open, so you can actually choose a size with 5–10 cm (2–4 in) less positive ease than you normally would. The pattern is intended to be knitted without buttonholes, although you can sew on a few pretty hooks and eyes if you wish. Of course, you can also add buttonholes if you prefer!
