Lucy the Labrador is man’s (and woman’s!) best friend. She’ll have your slippers ready for when you get home and will try very hard not to bite the postman! And best of all, subject to some serious training, she’ll even put the kids to bed and put the washing on!

She’s also dating Daniel the Spaniel - shhhh!

An easy to follow, delightful pattern for your very own Lucy the Labrador. The pattern is 6 pages long and contains a little tutorial on how to gather a cast on seam if this technique is not familiar to you.

Skills Required- knit, purl, increasing and decreasing, casting on and off, basic sewing skills

Materials required - 3.25mm knitting needles, black DK yarn, small amounts of red and grey yarn for the collar, safety eyes, safety nose, toy stuffing, contrasting embroidery floss, blunt ended sewing needle

The pattern is written for DK weight yarn but you can easily substitute with worsted weight yarn and 3.75mm needles.

Your finished Lucy will be 15cm/6in high or approx 7in if you assemble her in a standing position. She will be slightly bigger if you use worsted weight and 3.75mm needles.
