Lucy Top
PDF pattern for the Lucy Top
~along with a pattern look-book
This pattern uses crochet US terminology and is suitable for advanced beginners. It is made to measure, making it inclusive to any size <3!! ** pattern states that the selling of the finished product is not allowed but feel free to sell your finished pieces**
The pattern has instructions on how to create the top with no added appliqué, you have total creative freedom to add whatever you’d like! Included in the pattern is the linked tutorial used for the bunny appliqué- created by Pora Pora Crochet on YouTube.
how much yarn will you need?
yarn usage will differ depending on size, hook, and yarn weight- inside the pattern you will see examples of yardage for different size bodies.
As an example- my grey Lucy top I used ~170g/565 yards of Baby bee- Sweet Delight in Rainy Yay (weight 3) with a 3.5 mm hook & ~25g of Artiste Crochet Thread #10 in Ivory
Necessary materials
crochet thread #10 (0)- or lace weight (for scallops)
1.5mm crochet hook
measuring tape
yarn needle
scissors
stitch markers (4)
Recommended Materials (for the body of the top)
Yarn-
* light weight (3) or lighter, (2), (1), or (0) *
I recommend using a softer yarn. Avoid rough dense yarns.
Hook-
- 3.5mm crochet hook for weight 3
- 3.0 mm crochet hook for weight 2
- 2.5mm crochet hook for (0) or (1) weight
Altering the yarn & hook size for the lace section is not recommended
