Luella’s Mitts are written in one size to fit a medium-sized woman’s hand with 2 options for the size and height of the thumb gusset.
The pattern can be made larger with a slightly larger gauge or weight of yarn.
The mitts begin with a picot hem and are followed by colour work charts. Some rounds require 3 colours.
Any light fingering weight yarn will work for these mitts. They are a wonderful scrap buster. The blue and red mitts were knit using my own hand dyed sock yarns. Simone’s grey, green and yellow version uses Fleece and Harmony’s Wildwinds.
You will need approximately 30g of each colour.
There are 2 gauges provided as the 3 colour knitting on the palm produces a tighter fabric than the cuff.
The pattern has been tech edited and tested.
