Luftballon is the Danish word for ‘Air Balloon’. Luftballon is a crescent shaped long shawl that will drape gracefully around the shoulders and keeps in place without a pin.

Luftballon is worked in one piece from the top down.

The pattern includes directions for knitting this shawl in one size. (Width at top edge: 220 centimeters, Height: 48 centimeters).

The pattern is written for a knitter who is able to, follow written instructions as well as follow a chart and work increases and decreases. (The directions is a combination of written instructions and charts).

This pattern calls for a yarn with a yardage of approximately 200-210 meters per 100 grams. Pictured in hand dyed 50% silk / 50% merino 212 meters per 100 grams from Chester Wool Company.

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and stitch markers.
