The story behind this pattern:

SING ALONG

When my piano teacher Arta told me she had become an aunt, I was so happy for her. Especially because music was always the
best way for me to comfort my babies. Whenever they cried, I would sing to them — sometimes for an entire hour. I had a
little repertoire of about ten songs that I repeated over and over again.

What always amazed me was how different my babies were. Each of them even had their own personal fall-asleep song.

When my eldest was four years old, he suddenly asked: “Mum, can you sing my sleeping song again?” “Of course,” I said… and I started his favourite: “What shall we do with the drunken sailor.”

Not exactly what you’d expect — but it worked!

Did you also sing songs? Or did you have a different bedtime ritual?
