> Lumi Cushion

Lumi Cushion
I got my inspiration for this design from my Nordic heritage and therefore I gave it a name “lumi”, which means ‘snow’ in Finnish.
Pattern is written in English (UK Terms). It has step-by-step written instructions with lots of pictures and charts to guide you through all the rows.
Cushion is made using Overlay Mosaic Crochet Technique. Mosaic crochet in the round allows you to create the cushion without using border stitches. You are working continuously around and never have to cut your yarn, which means there won’t be no tail ends to weave in!!!
Back and front of the cushion have different designs (A and B).
You can also make this cushion by repeating the same design both sides (A and A or B and B).
- All you need is 3 different colours of DK weight yarn (or any other yarn but note that this will have an affect on final size).
- You will also need a crochet hook (4.5mm) and
- cushion insert or filling (approximately 40cm x 40cm )
Final size of the cushion is approximately 40 cm x 35 cm (15.7’ x 13.5’) but you can easily make it larger or smaller by adding or decreasing stitches. (This pattern works in multiples of 20 stitches)
