The pattern of Lumin Scales resembles shimmering scales, which is how it got its name. The design is created by holding different colored yarns in the left and right hands, similar to stranded colorwork, resulting in a fabric that has its own unique charm on both the right and wrong sides. That’s why this pattern was developed into a scarf—it can be worn on either side.
