Introducing “Luna” of the Land and Sea.

Luna has always been drawn to the water. One magical evening not so long ago, she was stood on the shore enjoying the waves washing over her toes, she looked up to the evening sky. There was a single star, shining brightly even in the sunset. Luna looked at that star and wished and wished that she might become a mermaid. Her wish was granted and from that evening, every time she dipped her toes in the briny waters, her legs became a beautiful tail!

When made with a DK weight yarn, Luna measures approximately 11-12inches, of course if you use a heavier or lighter yarn, her size will vary accordingly.

You will need:
Skin coloured yarn
Coloured or textured yarn of any weight for hair (I have a range of beautiful hand spun yarns available in my Etsy shop)
Coloured yarn for clothing
3mm Crochet hook
3.5mm Crochet hook
Stuffing
9mm safety eyes
A darning needle
A stitch marker

This pattern uses US crochet terminology, but UK translations are given. Instructions for each of the stitches are provided for beginners, along with pictures to help with some of the trickier bits.
