Lunch Date Scarf
The Lunch Date Scarf was designed for those irresistible skeins you picked up at a yarn show with a friend, the ones that were simply too beautiful to leave behind!
This scarf is the perfect way to show off those gorgeous yarns, so when you meet up again for lunch, you can proudly wear your finished scarf while planning which yarn to buy next!
Designed with DK weight self-striping, gradient and multi-coloured yarns in mind, the Lunch Date Scarf lets the colours shine while keeping the crochet fun and engaging. Mini pom poms and filet sections add texture and interest, while also helping you keep your stitch count on track as you go.
Worked side to side, the scarf gradually increases to the widest point at the centre of the diamond before decreasing back down, creating a beautifully shaped scarf that’s as enjoyable to crochet as it is to wear.
The result is a wonderfully wearable scarf that’s sure to turn heads, especially those of your yarn-loving friends!

Yarn Substitution and Customisation
Although designed for DK weight yarn, this pattern can be made using other yarn weights. Simply adjust your hook size to suit your chosen yarn, remembering that this will affect the finished measurements and yarn quantities required.
The scarf is ideal for making the most of special skeins or limited quantities of yarn.
Use the first 100g skein for the increase section and the second for the decrease section. Alternatively, weigh your yarn and divide it into two equal amounts before starting.
You can also adjust the number of pattern repeats to create a scarf that suits your preferred size and available yarn.
