This is one day quick knitting project. The pattern is suitable for beginner knitters, only two colors per round. Work from the bottom up and in the round with circular needles, using the ribbing and Fair-Isle knitting techniques.

It’s an easy to remember repeat.

Yarn:

A wool yarn in worsted weight, 9 wpi, suitable for colorwork knitting in two colors - light gray and dark petrol. The original is made with Drops Nord Mix in color shades:

light gray (Drops Nr. 04) and fog (Drops Nr. 08) held together, it gives beautiful gray meliert shade ~ each 20 g ,overall yarn weight - worsted;

deep ocean / dark petrol (Drops Nr. 09) held together ~ 30 g, overall yarn weight - worsted.

Gauge:
22 sts = 4 in/10 cm with needles US 6 (Nr. 4 EU) patterned part in stocking stitches.
20 sts = 4 in/10 cm with needles US 6 (Nr. 4 EU) in stocking stitches.

Size:
S/M, fits head size 21.3 – 22 “(54-56 cm) - the hat measures approx.
8.3 - 8.6” (21-22 cm) top down.

Needles:
Circular needles US 2½ (EU Nr. 3) and US 6 (EU Nr. 4), and a set
of DPN US 2½ (EU Nr. 3).

Other notions: 6 stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors,
measuring tape.
