Vinkki: Neulo mallitilkku ja viimeistele se kuten valmis neule tullaan viimeistelemään. Mikäli saat liikaa silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda paksumpiin puikkoihin. Jos saat liian vähän silmukoita per 10 cm, vaihda ohuempiin puikkoihin. Itse pääsin neuletiheyteen 2,5 ja 3,5 mm puikoilla.

Väljyysvara on negatiivinen 8-12 cm.

Palmikkoneule on hyvin venyvää, minkä takia väljyysvara on negatiivinen. Mittaa oma rinnanympärys ja valitse koko, jossa rinnanympärys on noin 8-12 cm pienempi kuin omasi.

Jos haluat väljemmän tai tyköistuvamman topin, valitse koko sen mukaan.

Tekniikka

Alaosa neulotaan alhaalta ylös suljettuna neuleena kainaloihin asti, jonka jälkeen erotetaan etu- ja takakappaleet. Takakappale ja etukappale neulotaan erikseen tasona, olat päätellään kolmen puikon taktiikalla yhteen. Ohje sisältää ohjeen myös väliaikaiselle aloitukselle. Tämä menetelmä mahdollistaa helman pituuden säätämistä muun työn ollessa jo valmis.

Gauge

30 sts and 32 rounds = 10 × 10 cm in pattern stitch after blocking.

Tip

Knit a gauge swatch and finish it the same way you intend to finish the garment.

If you obtain more stitches than specified over 10 cm switch to larger needles.

If you obtain fewer stitches than specified, switch to smaller needles.

The sample was knit using 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm needles to achieve gauge.

The garment is designed with 8–12 cm of negative ease.

The cable pattern is highly elastic, which is why the recommended ease is negative.

Measure your actual bust circumference and choose a size with a finished bust measurement approximately 8–12 cm smaller than your own.

If you prefer a looser or more fitted top, choose your size accordingly.

Construction

The body is worked from the bottom up in the round to the underarms.

The front and back are then separated and worked flat.

The shoulders are joined using a three-needle bind-off.

Instructions for an optional provisional cast-on are also included. This method allows you to adjust the hem length after the rest of the garment has been completed.
