El Chal Luxino es el resultado del Mystery Kal que organizo cada año con motivo de mi cumpleaños. Es un chal de medialuna inspirado en la oveja Brogna, la protagonista de la 4ª edición de Save the Sheep. Comienza con un montaje de lengüeta con un borde particular con bodoques (ovejitas). La primera sección, con un calado con motivos vegetales, representa la Lessinia, tierra de pastos donde crece la oveja Brogna. La segunda sección inicia y termina con trenzas letonas y está formada por bodoques sobre un fondo de punto jersey. Refleja los establos donde las ovejas Brogna son protegidas de la intemperie para mejorar la calidad de su lana. La tercera sección representa el proceso de sofisticación que sufre la lana cuando llega a Verona para ser procesada y luego exportada. El chal se cierra en perpendicular con el mismo borde que se hace en los laterales.

HILADO
Brogna de Save the Sheep (80% lana de oveja Brogna, 20% cáñamo) (300 m/50 g).

Para realizar el chal necesitarás aproximadamente 600 m (2 madejas).

Puedes usar otro hilado de grosor light fingering o fingering de composición similar. Te aconsejo la Medolan de Lana al Pascolo.

MATERIALES

• Agujas circulares de 3,5 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cable de, al menos, 80 cm.
• Marcadores.
• Aguja auxiliar de trenzas (opcional).
• Aguja lanera y tijeras para rematar los cabos.

MUESTRA DE TENSIÓN
22 p y 32 vtas en un cuadrado de 10 x 10 cm en punto jersey en plano ANTES de bloquear.

La muestra de tensión no es crucial en este proyecto, pero puede afectar a las medidas finales y a la cantidad de hilado necesario.

MEDIDAS FINALES
145 cm x 40 cm.

The Luxino Shawl is the result of the Mystery Kal that I organise every year for my birthday. It is a half-moon shawl inspired by the Brogna sheep, the subject of the 4th edition of Save the Sheep. It begins with a garter tab cast-on with a unique bobbled edge (to represent the sheep). The first section with a botanical lace motif, represents the “Lessinia”, the pastures where the Brogna sheep live. The second section begins and ends with Latvian braids and is formed by bobbles on a background of stockinette stitch. This reflects the stables where the Brogna sheep are protected from the outdoors to improve the quality of their wool. The third section represents the sophisticated process that the yarn goes through once it arrives in Verona to be processed and later exported. The shawl is finished with a perpendicular edge worked the same way as on the sides.

YARN
Brogna from Save the Sheep (80% wool from the Brogna sheep, 20% hemp) (300m/50g).

To make this shawl you will need approximately 600m (2 skeins).

You can use any other light fingering or fingering weight yarn of a similar composition. I would recommend Medolan from Lana al Pascolo.

MATERIALS

• 3.5mm circular needles (or size needed to get gauge) and a cable of, at least, 80cm.
• Stitch markers.
• Cable needle (optional).
• Tapestry needle and scissors to weave in the ends.

GAUGE
22sts x 32 rows gives a square of 10 x 10cm in stockinette stitch worked flat BEFORE blocking.

Gauge is not crucial for this project, but it can affect the final measurements and the amount of yarn needed.

FINAL MEASUREMENTS
145 cm x 40 cm.

• Garter tab cast-on.
• Increases and decreases of 1 and 2 stitches.

• Invisible seaming or Kitchener stitch.

Lo scialle Luxino è il risultato del Mystery Kal che organizzo ogni anno per il mio compleanno. È uno scialle a mezza luna ispirato alle pecore di razza Brogna, protagoniste della 4a edizione di Save the Sheep. Si comincia con un avvio garter tab con un particolarissimo bordo a noccioline (che rappresenta le pecore). La prima sezione, con un motivo botanico traforato, raffigura i pascoli della Lessinia, dove vivono le pecore di razza Brogna. La seconda sezione inizia e finisce con trecce lettoni ed è costituita da noccioline su uno sfondo di maglia rasata. Rappresenta le stalle in cui le pecore Brogna vengono messe al riparo per migliorare la qualità della loro lana. La terza sezione raffigura il sofisticato processo cui il filato viene sottoposto una volta arrivato a Verona, dove viene lavorato e da dove più tardi viene esportato. Lo scialle è rifinito con un bordo perpendicolare lavorato come i lati.

FILATO
Brogna di Save the Sheep (80% lana di pecore Brogna, 20% canapa) (300m/50g).

Per realizzare questo scialle avrai bisogno di circa 600m (2 matasse).

Puoi usare qualunque filato light fingering o fingering con una composizione simile. Ti consiglio Medolan di Lana al Pascolo.

MATERIALI

• Ferri circolari da 3.5mm (o nella misura necessaria per ottenere la tensione desiderata) e un cavo da almeno 80cm.
• Marcapunti.
• Ferretto da trecce (opzionale).
• Ago da lana e forbici per fissare i fili.

TENSIONE
22m x 32 ferri = 10 x 10cm a maglia rasata lavorata in piano PRIMA del bloccaggio.

Per questo modello la tensione non è fondamentale, ma determinerà le misure finali e la quantità di filato necessaria.
