Lyby is a triangular slightly crescent shaped shawl or scarf that will drape gracefully around the shoulders.

Lyby is worked in one piece from side to side.

The pattern includes directions for knitting this shawl in three sizes. (Width at top edge: 145 (180, 215) centimeters, Height/depth: 52 (60, 68) centimeters).

The pattern is written for a knitter who is familiar with lace knitting, able to, follow written instructions as well as follow a chart and work increases and decreases. (The directions is a combination of written instructions and charts).

This pattern calls for a yarn with a yardage of approximately 300 meters per 100 grams. Pictured in hand dyed (natural dye) 100% merino with a yardage of 300 meters per 100 grams from Chester Wool Company.

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and stitch markers.
