Lydia Beanie
by Amanda Morse
The Lydia Beanie is a worsted weight beanie pattern with pretty lace ribs that look like chunky cables, but without any actual cable crosses. The texture is created with strategically placed decreases and eyelets, making this hat fun to knit and beautiful to wear.
This beanie is worked in the round using worsted weight yarn and size 8 circular needles. The crown shaping uses the stitch pattern to its advantage, so the textured ribs come together in a really pretty way at the top.
This is a great project if you want a free knit hat pattern that feels interesting on your needles but still makes a practical, wearable beanie.
