The Lydia Bonnet is a lightweight fingering-weight bonnet knitting pattern for babies and toddlers, featuring delicate texture, a classic fitted shape, and simple i-cord ties.

The bonnet begins with a 1x1 ribbed edge and is worked flat through the textured body using knit and purl stitches, yarn overs, and decreases. The stitches are then joined in the round to shape the crown before finishing with an applied i-cord edging and matching ties.

With four sizes from newborn through toddler and only 60–100 yards of fingering-weight yarn needed, this is a lovely little project for using a partial skein or knitting a handmade baby gift.
