These are elegant and toasty warm mittens with a lacy bell-shaped layer inspired by a drawing my daughter
made. The lacy edging drapes over and peeks out of your coat or jacket sleeve, making a pretty little surprise.

Construction: First, knit the ribbing on double pointed needles, then using larger needles, knit the lacy edging on two needles. These two are joined by the double needles bind off technique. Next, stitches are picked up around the cuff, and the mitten is knitted upwards on double pointed needles.
