Lydia's Poncho
Lydia’s poncho is a top-down crochet pattern featuring a spiderweb design with a subtle gothic feel. It’s made for those who consider themselves a little strange and unusual!
What this pattern has to offer:
- Made to measure - you can make it in a short cape size, normal poncho or a full “poncho dress”
- Step-by-step instructions with detailed photos at every stage of the project
- Clear guidelines for creating the spiderweb – no crooked lines, perfect results every time!
- Two hood options: simple or spiderweb
- Pattern uses two crochet techniques, but no prior experience with either is required:
- Filet crochet – every row is written out stitch by stitch!
- Surface crochet – includes both photo and video tutorials!
- Photo & video tutorials for:
- foundation single crochet (fsc)
- linked double crochet (ldc) - optional; can be used instead of normal dc
After purchase you will receive two PDF files - Pattern and Lookbook with details about ponchos made by me and my testers
Materials needed:
- Weight 3 or 4 yarn - about 500g total - I’m using Gazzal XL baby cotton (50g = 105m) and Alison&Mae velvet yarn (50g = 48m) for the spiderweb lines
- Crochet hook - a little bigger than hook recommended for your yarn (to achieve better drape) - I used 5.0mm
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
This pattern is suitable for intermediate / advanced beginners. The pattern doesn’t contain any complicated stitches but the overall project might be overwhelming for beginners :)
You should be familiar with the following crochet stitches:
- ch - chain
- sl st - slip stitch
- fsc - foundation single crochet
- dc - double crochet
Since this is a digital product, there’s no return or refund.
