The Lyla Crescent Shawl is a perfect accessory for any weather, and looks beautiful with its lace eyelets, herringbone stripes, and string of bobbles. Perfect to dress up an outfit, or bring along for an evening out in the summer.

This light, lacey wrap can be created using any fingering-weight yarn, but like most shawls, you can use a heavier weight yarn to create a larger project. I used approximately 500yds (92g) of a beautiful skein of hand-died yarn from a local yarn store that was 50% silk, 50% alpaca - it’s so soft and drapey!

If herringbone stitches, bobbles, or simple crochet stitches are new to you, you can refer to the video tutorial, which is clear and easy to follow. After binding off the shawl’s knit stitches, you will use a 3mm crochet hook for the crochet border (this can be easily modified if you prefer to add more knitted rows or knit lace).

Enjoy!
