Lyssa Top
This top was originally designed for distribution during Local Yarn Shop (LYS) Day at Henny’s Yarn Shop in Caledonia, Michigan. The top begins with two garter stitch panels for the center front and center back. Stitches are picked up and knit along the side of the shorter garter stitch panel for the right front, which is knit sideways. The right front is put on hold while the right back is picked up and knit sideways from the side of the longer garter stitch panel. Then the front and back are joined for the remainder of the right side and a three needle bind off is used for the side seam. A short cap sleeve is knit and finished with garter stitch rows. The process is repeated for the left side. Neck and shoulder shaping are included for each side. Stitches are picked up around the neck and bottom hem to finish the top with rows of garter stitch. Instructions are also given for adjusting length and width. Note that adding length or width will require more yarn.
