Striding through the damp and windy winter moors, even the largest Scotsman in recorded history, “Black Angus” MacAskill, would have welcomed this giant scarf. Big enough to reach your ears while wrapped around your neck, deep enough to make a hood thrown over your head, and bulky enough to keep you warm no matter how you wear it.

Pattern Notes:

The MacAskill Scarf is a large rectangular scarf knit flat, with a large cable motif and seed stitch border.

This pattern includes both written instructions and charts. The pattern on Etsy also has an accessible large print option that is compatible with screen-reading software. This option includes the written instruction.

Note that gauge is not specifically important to this pattern, though changes in gauge will affect the amount of yarn used and the size of the final project.
