This gorgeous, but simple snood / cowl pattern for children is made on a standard gauge knitting machine in 4 ply acrylic but can be made in any good 4 ply yarn. It is suitable for cold weather wear. The snood/cowl can be made in any type of lace or textured pattern or can also be made with a 1x1 rib instead of stocking stitch hem. It is very cosy and versatile as it can be worn long like a snood or folded down as a cowl to keep the neck area warm.
