ABOUT PATTERN
The Mad Stripes Sweater is worked from the top down on circular needles. First work the back, then the shoulders, then the front.
The body is worked back and forth, and the sleeves are worked in the round. Rib edges are worked along the neckline, the body and
sleeves.
The Mad Stripes Sweater is a light and airy design with wide sleeves.

SIZES
S/M (L/XL) 2XL/3XL (4XL/5XL)
Sizes above correspond with the following chest measurements :
82/94 (94/110) 110/126 (126/142) cm
Measure your own chest circumference to determine which size will fit you the best.

MEASUREMENTS
The Mad Stripes Sweater is designed to have approx. 15 cm of positive ease measured under armpit. Meaning the fit should be 15
cm larger in circumference than your actual bust measurements.
The measurements are indicated on the diagram on page 5.
Photos above: Sarah is wearing size S/M - she is 158 cm tall - her chest circumference is 80 cm

YARNS AND MATERIALS
Approx. 150 (150) 175 (175) g of leftover yarn. I mainly used KidSilk Mohair from Mayflower to knit the sweater in the pictures
above (25g = 195 m).
Circular needles 3.5 mm 80 & 100 cm
Circular needles 7 mm 80 cm
Crochet Hook 6 mm (to pick up stitches along the armhole edges)
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
13 stitches x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch on needle size 7 mm.
Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above. Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on
10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
