This design features a cute little flash of interest in an otherwise kinda-sorta-totally simple knitted cowl. It is also designed with beginners in mind and a smooth little introduction to color changing rows. Fading is all the rage right now… and what better way to use up some of those rogue (read: unfortunately lonely) dk skeins you might have hiding in your stash. This cowl is designed around a 4-color fade.

The button tab is super simple, and utterly useless as far as button usage is concerned LOL… it is thrown into the design to add a little pop among the amazing colors that fade into one another. Once you have blocked your cowl and then cast on like 8 other projects while it dries, you will just fold the tab over and sew your button right into that space. Any size button would be fine, but the tab itself is only a 2” square, so you won’t be able to see it if you choose a larger button.
