This written crochet pattern provides instructions to make a baby blanket, approximately 90 cm x 70 cm.

A corner to corner design, the blanket works up easily and quickly. Clear diagonal stripes give a lovely texture to the end result, and this blanket makes makes the perfect gift for any baby, boy or girl.

The pattern calls for yarn in only one colour (although more than one colour could also be used), dove grey. Approximately 4.5 skeins of yarn (each 100 g) are used to complete the blanket.

The only additional material required is a darning needle, with which to weave in the ends.

This baby blanket, in a gender-neutral colour (as the parents have chosen to be surprised at the birth of their baby), was designed and made for a very special teacher, who becomes a first-time mommy very soon!
