This shawl is knit from the center out! It’s fascinating to knit as you see the lace pattern grow this way. It has one twist which forms as you do the 3-part cast on. I use a cast-on from the book, “The Knitting Way” by Linda Skolnik and Janice MacDaniels. I demonstrate this in a video so you can understand clearly how to successfully start this project. I found this easier than the traditional moebius cast on that you find commonly taught on YouTube. The lace pattern is taken from “The Magic of Sheland Lace Knitting” by Elizabeth Lovick. This pattern can be made in three sizes: cowl, medium shawl, or large shawl. Enjoy this fascinating journey into knitting and the moebius shape!
