This beautiful asymmetrical scarf takes its name and inspiration from the old wavy Shetland lace pattern, the “Madeira Cascade”, here combined with a bright background of deep turquoise blue, reverberating the Mediterranean connection, and the fusion of two different worlds through the art of knitting…
The scarf starts at the smallest point, and finishes at the largest, which is the cast off edge, and only uses 2 contrasting skeins of wool. There are various sections of garter stitch, stocking stitch, wavy bands and short lace knitting, which are all indicated in sequence in the pattern.
