Many prefer a V-neck because it never feels restrictive around the throat. It is also an effortless piece for layering. During cooler seasons, you can wear it over a collared shirt, letting the hem peek out from under the garment. Personally, I prefer to let some skin show and adorn the neckline with delicate chains instead.

CHOOSING YOUR SIZE

The sweater is designed with 15–30 cm / 6–12” of positive ease at the bust, meaning it is intentionally oversized. Measure your own bust circumference, add 15–30 cm / 6–12” and find the closest size in the size chart. You can also measure a favourite mohair sweater you already own. It’s also worth measuring your preferred sleeve width at the upper arm. Sleeve and hem length can easily be adjusted to taste.

22 sts x 32 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette St with 3 mm (US 2.5) needle.

CONSTRUCTION

The sweater is worked from the top down. First, the back piece is worked flat with a European shoulder structure. Stitches for the fronts are picked up from the shoulder seams and worked down to the underarms, after which the body is joined in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round with sleeve decreases. All edges are finished with a tubular bind-off. Ribbing is worked at the V-neck and the neckband is folded double.
