Mae is a short sleeved hooded pullover with an allover lace pattern on front and back, a deep v-neckline and garter stitch edgings. There are decorative buttons at hip. Sweater is knit flat in two pieces from the bottom-up, then seamed along side edges before picking up stitches for the sleeves and hood. Sleeves are worked in the round on DPN’s, the hood is knit flat then seamed at top edge with a three needle bind-off. It’s worked in dk weight yarn, sample is shown knit in Rowan Wool Cotton.

Pattern includes instructions for children’s sizes:
4(6: 8: 10: 12) years
To fit a chest of 23(25: 27: 28: 30)inches
58.5(63.5: 68.5: 71: 76.25)cm

Sweater is designed to be worn with approximately 0 - 1”(2.5 cm) of positive ease at chest. Schematic with finished sweater measurements is included in pattern.

The difficulty level of this pattern is: Intermediate - Requires a knowledge of casting on, binding off, working garter stitch, working a simple lace pattern, increasing, decreasing, knitting flat with straight needles, knitting in the round with DPN’s, doing a three needle bind-off, seaming, picking up stitches, ability to perform/keep track of multiple things going on in the pattern at the same time.
