I love striped socks! Besides being incredibly motivating to knit, they remind me of my favorite sport, rugby! I wanted a sock that was both “rugby” and feminine, just like my amazing teammates. So I created the Magali Socks, in honour of my friend and teammate Magali Harvey!

The Magali Socks are beautiful long toe up socks. The heel is worked in German short rows to have a beautiful, rounded shape and without holes! The pattern includes instructions for five different sizes, ranging from 56 stitches to 72 stitches, and step-by-step instructions to allow you to perfectly adjust the length of your socks to your foot.

Gauge
30 stitches x 42 rows = 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette knit in the round, after blocking.

Fingering weight yarn (400m / 100g), approximately:

For the sample, I used the beautiful yarn from The Woolseeker in the colours: popsicle rose, gomme balloune, barba à papa, îles Fiji et algue bleue.

J’adore les chaussettes rayées! En plus d’êtres incroyablement motivantes à tricoter, elles me rappellent mon sport préféré, le rugby ! Je voulais une chaussette à la fois « rugby » et féminine, à l’image de mes formidables coéquipières. J’ai donc créé les Bas Magali, en l’honneur de mon amie et coéquipière Magali Harvey!

Les Bas Magali sont de belles chaussettes longues tricotées des orteils à la cheville. Le talon est travaillé en rangs raccourcis à l’allemande (German Short Rows) pour avoir une belle forme arrondie et sans trous! Le patron comprend des instructions pour cinq tailles différentes, allant de 56 mailles à 72 mailles, et des instructions étape par étape pour vous permettre d’ajuster parfaitement la longueur de vos chaussettes à votre pied.
