Magaret S. Collins
This is a pattern for a pair of mittens with a matching hat. Both are worked from the bottom up and in the round, using the stranded knitting technique.
Size of mittens is determined by needles/gauge.

measured over stranded stockinette on 2.25mm needles

Some knitters work stranded and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep the stitch gauge the same throughout.
