Inspired by the song, “Puff the Magic Dragon,” this crescent shawl is worked from the top down. The dragon skin body flows into a misty edging and will work well with gradient, tonal, or solid yarns.
For reference, the body used 60%, the edging used 36.5%, and the bind off used 3.5% of the yarn.

Finished Size: approx. 65” wide x 19” deep (165 x 48 cm) after blocking.

Materials:
• Sport/DK weight yarn, such as A Hundred Ravens Aesir Mini Set, 600 yds, 548 m OR Fingering Weight yarn, such as The Unique Sheep Pashmi
• US Size 7 (4.5 mm) 32” (81 cm) or longer circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
• Stitch markers (different colors), several removable stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

Gauge: 18 sts = 4” (10 cm) in dragon skin pattern before blocking

This pattern may be knit in a different weight of yarn and has been tested in fingering weight yarn. Please swatch the pattern to ensure you get a fabric and drape you like. Finished size and yardage will change based on yarn weight changes.
