My Magic Within throw has a ripple stitch pattern with completely straight starting and ending edges. Unlike other ripple or chevron stitch patterns that have jagged starting and ending edges, this throw has a little magic thrown into the stitch pattern to keep the edges straight to form a perfect rectangle. You will enjoy the simplicity of the stitch pattern that produces a very interesting visual effect.

The throw is crocheted starting on the short end, and is crocheted end to end. This way, you can determine the length of your throw as you crochet through the rows. Make the throw as written, or you can very easily make it shorter or longer, or narrower or wider.

And, you have the option of several different finishing techniques. You can leave the edges as they are, crochet the bobble or the picot edging, or add tassels to the four corners.

I used three different yarn colors of Knit Picks Brava Bulky yarn (136 yards/100 grams), and four skeins each for a total of 1632 yards. Or, you can use Knit Picks Mighty Stitch Bulky or Swish Bulky if you prefer a wool blend or 100% wool.

With all of these options, you will have fun creating your throw and customizing it to your own yarn preferences, size, and edging. Using bulky weight yarn, the throw is quick to crochet and makes a gift project that anyone can enjoy!

Skills required: chain, sl st, sc, hdc, dc, tc, sc2tog, sc3tog, tc2tog, tc3tog. Instructions are written for the sc and tc together stitches.
