About Magical II

Magical II is worked in the round from the top down. The collar is worked in rib stitch and then the back of the yoke is worked with German short rows to shape the neck. Then begins the fun part: the colorwork!
There are three options for the yoke panels featuring the trans symbol, the venus symbol, and the mars symbol. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, try mixing and matching- they are each the same length and width and can be substituted out for one another.
Note: In odd-numbered sizes (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9) there are an even number of colorwork repeats, so the center will be on an increase edge between panels. In even-numbered sizes (2, 4, 6, and 8) there are an odd number of colorwork repeats, so
panels will be centered on the middle of the shirt. Keep this in mind when selecting a size!
After the colorwork, we divide for armholes, placing the arms on hold, and work the body. I like a short crop, but feel free to make this darling as long as you want!
Then we decrease a few stitches to obtain a multiple of 12 stitches and work the 10 rounds of hem colorwork. Add a few rounds of the MC to keep the rib from crowding the
colorwork, and then it’s time to move on to the ribbed hem. We finish with the sewn tubular bind off.
Then the sleeves are worked in the MC, and finished with the same ribbed hem and sewn tubular bind off technique.

Needles

• US size 3 (3.25 mm) for ribbing
• US size 4 (3.5 mm) for stockinette and colorwork (note: you may need to size up for colorwork, depending on your tension)

Gauge

• 26 stitches x 29 rows in stockinette = 10 x 10 cm
