Two magical moose are cavorting in the forest as the snow falls.

The mittens are knitted in the round using two colour stranded knitting. The patterned cuff is set off by Latvian braids. The shaped thumb gore makes for a well fitting and comfortable mitten while the two yarns give a nice thick, warm fabric.

For the multicoloured version you will need one 25 g ball of each of the 3 main colours and a small amount of another colour for the Latvian braid. For the two coloured version you will need 2 balls of each colour or one ball of each if you like to play yarn chicken.
