PATTERN NOTES
The effect of self-striped Uptown DK Colors paired with center-out lace increases creates a beautiful throw that reminds us of a kaleidoscope. You’ll have a blast watching the width of each color stripe grow increasingly narrow – eventually shifting from one shade to another in the last few rounds.

This throw is knit in the round from the center out. Work begins on dpns. When there are too many sts to fit on dpns, switch to a 16” circular. When there are too many sts for the 16” circular, switch to the next longest needle. Toward the end of the throw, you may wish to use two 40” circular needles and the 2-circular method to accommodate the larger number of stitches. Though there are a lot of stitches on your needles at the end of this project, there is no purling until the very end.

Please note: In order to get this blanket to lay completely flat, we highly recommend steam blocking to relax the fabric and prevent a “bubbling” up at the center of the blanket. Using blocking wires to fully stretch the fabric will make this task easier.
