40% off till May 20
Magnus is knit top-down in one piece, seamlessly. Only the snout is knit separately and then sewn to the bear’s head. Worked in the round using double-pointed needles or circular needles (magic loop technique). The sweater is included in these instructions.
Approx. measurements: 28 cm x 18 cm ( 11 x 7 in )
Minimum skills:
- Knit and purl stitches
- Increases and decreases
- Circular knitting with DPNs or circulars (magic loop)
Main Yarn
La Vall Worsted, Ovella Lab, natural color
Worsted weight - 140m / 100g ( 153 yds / 100g )
Yardage: 1 skein ( 100g )
Main Needles
5 - 5.5 mm ( US 8-9 ) double-pointed or circular needles with a long cable for magic loop
The yarn weight and gauge are not critical for this project. However, to knit both the bear and the clothing, better to use the yarn weight specified in the pattern.
It’s recommended to use smaller needles than usual to get a tighter gauge.
Yarn for sweater
20 - 25 gr DK weight yarn ( 200-240 m/100gr ; 220-260 yds / 100g ). Fingering weight yarn held double may also be used.
The sample is made with Filadora, Ovella Lab
