This pattern is for a 9” knitted doll. It is knit in the round from the bottom up (from the legs to the head) all in one piece. The arms are knit first and then joined at the armpits. The only seaming required is to close up the space between the legs. Hair is added using a crochet hook to loop the yarn strands under the knitted stitches on the head.
