Maiah's Cowl
The Maiah cowl is worked back and forth, on straight needles, in garter stitch. While it does not require shaping, it shows a decorative knit stitch line in amongst the garter stitch pattern. The scarf is finished by sewing the cast on and cast off edges together. The loop scarf is designed to fight tightly around the neck and will stretch when being pulled over the head, especially for the small children’s sizes. This is why the head circumference above provides a reference point for choosing the right size. If you prefer a looser fit, you can easily adjust the size by adding your desired length as you knit.
