Notions: Smooth scrap yarn and crochet hook for provisional cast on, 2 stitch markers, locking stitch markers, cable needle, spare circular needle in same or smaller size.

Notes: Mailou is worked sideways from a provisional cast on. Short rows are worked to shape the palm, thumb gusset, and to turn the cable 90 degrees before the cable is used to join the live stitches to the provisional cast on.
