Convallaria majalis is the botanical name of the flower „lily of the valley“, which you can find on the outer side of the leg. The name is adapted from Latin: “Convallaria“ me-ans “found in valleys“and „majalis“ – “relate to the month of may”.
Majalis is worked up from toe to leg. The pattern creates a bouquet of the Lily of the valley on the outside of your ankle.

Convallaria majalis ist der botanische Name für Maiglöckchen, die sich hier auf der Außenseite des Schaftes tummeln. Die Bezeichnung setzt sich aus lateinisch: Convallaria für „in den Tälern vorkommend“ und lateinisch: „majalis“ auf den Monat Mai bezogen, zusammen.
Diese Socken werden von der Spitze aus zur Ferse und dann zum Schaft gestrickt. Ein Muster aus Plättern und Noppen bildet auf der jeweiligen Außenseite ein Sträußchen Maiglöckchen.
